Crystal Grids For Beginners

  I love crystals, you love crystals…we all love crystals. The discussion of crystals can go on forever and there is such a plethora of information about them, their properties, as well as any spiritual, physical or emotional connections associated with any specific crystal. This specific post is about a brief introduction to Crystal Grids; what they are along with some basic information on how to create them and work with them. So lets cleanse some crystals, set some intentions and get gridding.

You may already work with crystals during meditations, spell work, divinations or simply place them around your home or carry them with you for specific purposes. A Crystal Grid is a special arrangement of crystals and stones, used with intention, to manifest a desired result. You’ll want to take some time with this. Give yourself the time and space to clear your mind and focus on what you’d like to manifest and putting that energy into creating a Grid. Find a location where you will ideally setup and leave your Crystal Grid for at least a few days up to a few weeks or longer depending on intention. Do not place the grid next to your bed. The strong energy field they have can disturb your sleep. Ideally, if you have a sacred space in the home already, that would be best. If not, thats okay, just try to find a place it will not be bumped or disturbed.

The universe likes to provide us with what we need, not just what we want. Focus on manifesting a need vs a want if you would like it to come to fruition. Again, take your time. Write it down, clear as possible with positive intent. Ask light beings or whoever resonates with you to be with you for the highest good. Choose 2 or more types of crystals that carry the properties of your intention and you feel called to. Make sure to pick combinations that work well together. For example; if your intention is to have more focus, you may combine clear quartz (energy amplifier) and fluorite (cuts through mental clutter and noise). There are many books and websites to help with crystal properties, combining and meanings. You will also want to pick a Keystone Crystal or the main focus stone. This is the crystal that you will place 1st in the center. It will act as the “heart” of the crystal grid, connecting with the surrounding stones and channeling their energies. Keeping it simple is best to maintain focus on intention. You may also choose to personalize your grid after placing crystals with natural elements, such as flowers or with candles, a picture etc… Just remember to keep it somewhat simple. Last thing you will need, is an Activator Wand. The activator wand is really any longer shape crystal that will connect the crystals on the grid. Quartz is a powerful, neutral stone but any you are called to that aligns with your intent will do. It does not have to be fancy but of course you could always make a fancy wand.

 

Assembling your Crystal Grid

When you have chosen your space, wrote down your intentionand selected your crystals and any additional items you may want for your grid, it’s time manifest! Make sure you have plenty of uninterrupted time. You don’t want to rush this…

*A note on grid design; When it comes to grid design; this is a beginners tutorial. You can choose any design that calls to you; circle, spiral, triangle etc… More experienced grid makers use sacred geometry. Sacred Geometry holds blueprints to the universe that create harmony and balance. If you would like to do a pattern that holds a specific meaning and intent, you can always look up and print patterns online or you can find them in books. There are also geometric pattern items, such as wooden boards etc…that can be purchased and used to make your grid on.

• Clear and cleanse your space, crystals and any additional items with clear positive intent. You can do this by smudging.
• Spend time with your crystals programming them with your intent after cleansing.
• Begin with your keystone crystal. Place in center of your grid all while focusing on intent.
• Continue to create your grid pattern around and out from the keystone crystal however you feel called to design your grid. *see note above
• Try to keep same type of crystal for each corresponding section, ring or design. If not, try to create a specific pattern. Keeping crystals balanced and symmetrical creates harmony and strengthens connection. Tip: If you have crystal points, you can place them in between sections or rings for amplifying energy.
• After your crystals are placed, you can add in any other items to personalize if you have them.
• Put your written intention somewhere in or around or under grid.
• Continue to meditate and focus on your intention. Spend time with this!
• When finished, you need to activate your grid. Using your activator wand and focusing on your intention, tap your keystone crystal then the crystal closest. Continue using your activator wand and tapping back and forth, from keystone to crystal, working out while focusing on intent and imagining a white or gold light, creating and connecting the grid from the inside out.
• Once done, repeat intention once more, put wand away and visualize your grid activated as the energy begins to flow, attuned to your intention.
• While the grid is created, don’t ignore it! Do routine cleansing, depending on how long you plan to keep. Sit with it. Meditate. Focus and continue to visualize. Singing bowls are great for activating and reactivating as well. If it’s near a window, let full moon light hit it.
• Closing the grid is up to you. When you feel called and ready. Be mindful when closing and disassembling. Thank higher beings, universe and crystals for the space, work and energy. Work backwards from how you set it envisioning you manifested your intention and giving thanks.
• Cleanse everything and space. Can journal the experience if you choose.
